Malek Maghraoui, software engineer: web, mobile and AI products

Most demos look good. Real products have to keep working when real people use them. I build the whole thing: interfaces people enjoy, backends that hold up, apps on every screen, and AI that asks before it acts.

How I build.

Four rules I don't break, each with the projects that taught it. The panels are live: fix them, approve or reject, replay.

Ship the whole product.

A feature isn't done until it works on the screen people actually use. I build the database, the API, the web app, the phone and TV apps, the deployment and the translations, right to left included.

Test the hull.

If it matters, a script tries to break it before a user does. Access rules, translations, scheduled jobs and the apps themselves get checks that run on every push.

Bridge19 end-to-end checks create throwaway users, try to cross every row-level-security boundary, then clean up after themselves.

Fast on a real phone.

Speed is a feature, measured on a mid-range phone, not a developer laptop. Pages get budgets, the words load before the heavy parts, and the slow path gets a fallback.

Al-MurshidPublic pages are Server Components with small client islands, and Lighthouse CI holds their performance budgets on every build.

AI with brakes.

I put AI where it earns its place, and nowhere else. It can read freely, but a person approves every write, every argument is checked against a schema, and a number the source never said doesn't ship.

QTrust43 agent tools. The 24 that write become pending actions, and nothing touches the database until an admin approves.
Edah StudioA 5-layer gate deletes unsourced numbers and re-anchors every scene to its source paragraph before a person reviews it.

I'm Malek Maghraoui, a software engineer. I graduated in computer science from ISIMS, University of Sfax, and I've been shipping production software since 2024: client platforms, my own products on web, mobile and desktop, civic tools, and open source.

I use AI tools every day to move faster, and I review everything that ships. Inside products, I add AI where it earns its place.

Off the clock: 23 hackathons, two years as AWS Cloud Club Captain (15+ workshops and a cloud conference for 60+ people), and teaching 10 to 18 year-olds Python and AI at science camps.

I work in English, French and Arabic, right-to-left interfaces included.

Korbyx (formerly Ailéane) is a Paris software studio building a B2B analytics platform with an AI assistant, plus custom AI platforms for clients.
- Built the assistant's evaluation harness: answers are checked against the analytics engine's ground truth in CI, alongside prompt-injection guardrail tests.
- Core contributor to a TypeScript monorepo on AWS (ECS, RDS, Bedrock), provisioned with Terraform.
- Shipped data connectors, a governed KPI layer and scheduled jobs with failure alerting.

Supervised two interns building Pro Finder, a platform to find, compare and work with professionals: AI-powered search, a professional network and a marketplace.
- Roadmap, stack choices, weekly meetings and code reviews.

Brought in by the CEO to rescue Plag-Prevent, the company's plagiarism-detection platform, built by a previous team over two years. It had serious production bugs.
- Learned the large legacy codebase on my own (Express, React, MongoDB, Python text matching, job queues), then set up a staging copy of the on-premise production servers to debug safely.
- Got every feature working again in production, including AI-generated-text detection and cross-language checks.

Two reasons. I love astronomy and space. And everything I build belongs to one universe: different missions, the same standards.
